A Dozen Cousins, Creole Red Beans

This dish has roots in African, French and Spanish cuisine but its true birthplace is is the great state of Louisiana. In fact, the love for red beans runs so deep in New Orleans that jazz legend Louis Armstrong used to sign his letters "Red beans and ricely yours." These beans go great with a side of rice or a hot piece of cornbread.
