Trini Chickpea Curry Hummus with Avocado Crack Seasoning

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • Trini Chickpea Curry (from A Better Market) – 1 ½ cups
  • Tahini – ¼ cup
  • Lemon Juice – 2 tbsp (about 1 lemon)
  • Garlic – 1 clove, minced
  • Olive Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Avocado Crack Seasoning – 2 tsp
  • Water – 2-4 tbsp (to adjust consistency)
  • Salt – to taste (optional)

To Serve:

  • Avocado Crack Crackers – for dipping
  • Fresh Veggies (carrot sticks, cucumber slices, etc.) – optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chickpeas: If your Trini Chickpea Curry contains whole chickpeas, drain and reserve the chickpeas. If it’s a blended curry, proceed to the next step.
  2. Blend the Hummus: In a food processor, combine the Trini Chickpea Curry, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, and olive oil. Pulse until smooth.
  3. Season: Add Avocado Crack Seasoning and pulse again. Adjust the consistency by adding water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your desired creaminess.
  4. Taste and Adjust: If needed, add salt or more lemon juice to enhance the flavor. The Trini Chickpea Curry should provide a rich, spiced base, so minimal seasoning may be needed.
  5. Serve: Spoon the hummus into a serving dish, drizzle with olive oil if desired, and sprinkle extra Avocado Crack Seasoning on top. Serve with Avocado Crack Crackers and/or fresh veggies for dipping.
